Hey, do you like MIRRORS? Well, some people LOVE them, and, some people HATE them, some people AVOID them and some people have never met a MIRROR they DIDN’T LIKE. But, LOVE them, HATE them or go out of your way to AVOID them, “WHAT YOU SEE is WHAT YOU GET” with a MIRROR. It’s Pastor Phil of Harvest Chapel with aGOOD WORD from GOD’S WORD today.
Well, if you’ve wondered who was the thoughtless and inconsiderate person who invented the MIRROR, in 1835 a German chemist by the name of JUSTUS VON LIEBIG invented the Silverbacked glass mirror that’s so common today I’m not kidding you! His last name was “LIE“-“BIG“, and we all know that MIRRORS don’t LIE! MIRRORS always tell the TRUTHabout our every changing EXTERIOR IMAGE.
In the Bible, James warned about giving the WRONG IMPRESSION to people and DECEIVING OURSELVES. In James 1:23-25 he said, “Anyone who listens to the WORD, but doesn’t do what it says, is like a person who looks in a MIRROR and immediately forgets what they look like. But, in DOING God’s Word–that person is BLESSED in whatever they do.”
Remember, you’re made in the IMAGE OF GOD, so TODAY, let the light of Jesus shine on your FACE, in your SMILE and in the IMPRESSION others see in you.
