Hey, have you ever really been DISAPPOINTED? I mean, you had GREAT EXPECTATIONS and your HOPES were HIGH, then SUDDENLY, without warning, the props were kicked out from underneath you. Well DISAPPOINTMENTS comes in many WAYS and FORMS, whether SUDDENLY or OVER TIME, and how we handle DISAPPOINTMENT is very important. It’s Pastor Phil of Harvest Chapel with a GOOD WORD from GOD’S WORD today.
Well, if you’ve never experienced being DISAPPOINTED, YET, brace yourself, because you WILL eventually be faced with it. Dealing with DISAPPOINTMENT is a challenge you’re going to have to deal with all your life, because people WILL let you down. But, thank God, He will never DISAPPOINT you. King David noted in Psalm 22:5, “They cried out to God and were saved; they trusted in the Lord and were NOT DISAPPOINTED.” And the Apostle Paul affirmed it when he told the Romans, “Hope in God does NOT DISAPPOINT,” (Rm.5:5)
So, if you’ve been DISAPPOINTED TODAY, let me remind you what the very CENTER of the BIBLE, Psalms 118:8 says, “It’s better to trust in the Lord, than to put confidence in man.” So, hopefully your DISAPPOINTMENT has drawn you EVEN CLOSER to the Lord TODAY.
