Karen Peck & New River - Revival

Producer: Wayne Haun
Label: Daywind Records
Website: http://www.karenpeckandnewriver.com

Partnered with Daywind, Karen Peck and New River release what has to be one of their best recordings as of yet. The music leading in is reminiscent of a western showdown. Karen's lead paints a picture of what old-fashioned revival looked like before New River appears on the scene for a powerful, sub-thumping chorus. Get ready, because revival is coming.

"Oh, Hallelujah" is an up-tempo, fun song praising God for a plethora of blessings. "Finish Well" challenges the believer to live each day in full pursuit of serving the Savior. If you have been privileged to see KPNR in concert, you know they have a down-to-earth presence that grabs each listener's attention. You feel as if you are the only person in the auditorium. In your mind's eye, you can see Karen step off the stage to sing this heart felt song "Everybody's Going Through Something" and I'd rather go through something with you.

"Dancing Like Lazarus" speaks from the perspective of a transformed life that cannot help but celebrate the radical transformation Christ brings. "Jesus, Remember Me" is a mellow ballad of pleading to the Savior. "I've Been Broken" is another one of those old revival songs. The B3 and piano accompaniment was a brilliant choice for this selection.

KNPR did a fantastic spin on "Joy In My Heart." "You Did It Anyway" and "I'm Saved" were great closing songs of testimony.

What a wonderful album filled with fantastic songs and great, clean arrangements. There is not a single selection that could be labeled as a "filler song." Each one is revival ready!
