Tuesday was the official release of the Gaither Vocal Band’s long awaited new album, Greatly Blessed.
Let me tell you - you will be truly blessed with this one!
Front start to finish they guys deliver what very well could be the best GVB album every!

As a self proclaimed expert on GVB let me tell you I have enjoyed every album they have done but
looking through the years I can go to an album and say I can do without this song or that song, but on this one…all 13 songs are very good.

The vocals are incredible! The arrangements are amazing as well.

He’s Alive is awesome.
The way they arranged Please Forgive Me is sweet
and You Are My All in All is amazing

If you have not had the chance to hear the 5 voice GVB you need to. They are truly amazing talents and this is the best group Bill has put together.

I give this one a 5 out of 5! Many who have read my posts in the past will say I always say that about a GVB album, but this one is truly the best!

Love to hear what other think.

Just got home from a great morning at Dave Edwards’ Breakfast Club in Shipshewana, IN. Geraldine and Ricky were funny as usual, but also there was the new trio, Freedom, comprised of John Rulapaugh, Josh Garner and Joel Tremble. Folks - if they come your way, run, don’t walk to get your tickets! These guys are great. Of course we knew that Josh and John were great artists after each was was the Florida Boys and Doves/Palmetto respectively, but together, they are dynamite!!! Wonderful time. I even got to reminisce (sp?) with John a bit about the, I THINK 2d Chatters’ luncheon that Harold Timmons had for his chat room. We actually had entertainment - some of the chatters and the brand new group, The Dove Brothers! As John said this AM, the chat room made the Dove Brothers famous almost before they started. Good times.

Have any of you had the pleasure of hearing them? They have a very traditional sound, for those of you who care! LOL

I just recently took a trip to TN., and got to go to Dollywood. I made sure that I got to see The Kingdom Heirs while I was there. I could not believe how good they were. They are by far the best group in SGM right now. The concert was uplifting and funny. The band was amazing. Andy Stringfield (their new pianist), even sang a couple of songs. Billy Hodges was going sky high, and Jeff Chapman was shaking the foundations of the building.

What I want to know is….why aren’t they nominated for more awards? And why don’t they win more awards? Like I said before….right now they are the best group out there. They need to get more recognition than what they’ve been getting. Steve French has got the best group that he’s ever had. And let’s not forget Arthur Rice and his powerful lead vocals. They were flawless. And I don’t think they get enough recognition.

That’s my opinion…...what’s yours?
