No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service – Bryan Hutson

I recently read an article that caught my attention. It said “8 Things That Jesus Never Said.”

It intrigued me, so I read it.

Here was one of the quotes. “No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service.” We’ve all seen this phrase on the window or door of a business.

It’s saying “We have the right to ask you to meet these requirements before we serve you.” And, I agree with that to a degree.

However, Jesus never said that.

Jesus doesn’t care what your background is, how much money that you HAVE or don’t have. He said that we could come to Him, just as we are, BUT He doesn’t want us to STAY THAT WAY. He died on the Cross, so we wouldn’t have to.

He changes us. He begins a work in us and desires that we allow Him to work though us to reach someone else.

Revelation 22:17 “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.”

Once we accept His sacrifice for our sin, He promises to ACCEPT us as His child. He won’t throw us away.

John 6:37 “Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never send away.”

If you haven’t already, invite Jesus to be Lord of your life. Allow Him to change you.

If you have accepted Christ, ask Him to give you the boldness and gentleness to share your faith with others.

Prayer starter: “Thank You Father, for not turning me away. Thank You for loving me when I AM so unloveable. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen.”
