*Note: This was a 2016 release. Some of the personnel has changed since this release.
Gold City has been making waves in gospel music for many, many years. They burst onto the scene and had hit after hit in the 1980s. The group went back to those “glory days” and selected some of the best songs the line-up then sung and cut fresh tracks and vocals and viola, Authentic is born!

Whether you are familiar with Gold City or not, this is a fun package of songs and one fans will want to grab. Opening the project is the fast paced “Gettin Ready to Leave this World” which features lead singer Chip Pullen. Chip, a dynamic lead singer, is also featured on “Windows of Home” and “Hiding Place,” both of which are strong songs in their own right. Chip does an outstanding job. He is perhaps the best lead singer Gold City has had in many years.

Baritone and group manager Daniel Riley is featured on “I’m Never Alone,” “Heaven,” and “Holy Anointing.” Daniel Riley is an underrated baritone singer. He is able to blend and fill his part in a quartet flawlessly but can also step up and command your attention on a lead vocal!

>Newcomer Tenor singer Thomas Nalley’s big feature on the project is “God of All Gods,” and he does a fabulous job with this. It’s easy to see why he is perhaps the best tenor Gold City has had since Steve Ladd. Bass singer Chris West is also a newer member of the group, and he is sure to become a fan favorite among bass singers. He is featured on “How Deep is the Water” and does a great job!

This is perhaps one of the best recordings from Gold City in many years. This lineup is solid. Each member is a singer in their own right. It’s exciting to see how fans respond to this project! Grab a copy today!
