This album starts off with a good, upbeat song, “Why Don’t We Sit And Talk.” It has a Black Gospel feel to it, especially when it speeds up at the end. It’s followed by medium-paced song, “What’s Not To Love.” It has a Gaither Vocal Band feel to it (especially considering the GVB made a guest appearance on it). “I Know When I’m Hearing From Home” slows the pace down a bit. There’s a few odd chords in the chorus that sound a little bit out of place. I like the words in the bridge. It really brings this song to life. I love the organ intro on the next song, “Love Is The Golden Rule.” There’s a good message in this song about agreeing together in love and harmony.
“No Room For Hate” has a blues feel. The message goes along with the previous song in talking about loving one another. I feel like “What If He Meant What He Said?” dragged a bit. “So You’ll Know How To Pray” to me, was a little cheesy. I understand where Mark was trying to go with this stylistically, but it was too much and didn’t really mesh with the rest of the album. “Mama Prayed” is a sweet song about the power of your Mama’s prayers. It reminds me a lot of my Grandmother. This is one of the better songs on the project.
“Feels Like I’m Already There” is one of those songs that you can feel came from the heart. I’ve heard several different artists sing “Didn’t I Walk On The Water.” It’s such a great song of encouragement. Next is “Only Jesus.” I really like this song. Mark does a good job singing this song. He paints a picture with his words. In my opinion, it’s the best one on the whole CD. The album ends with “What’s Not To Love (Reprise).” I felt like this album dragged a little. It’s not some of the best music I’ve heard by Mark Lowry. The style varied throughout the whole project. It wasn’t very consistent. I also didn’t feel that his song selection was up to par with previous albums. However, the production of the album was done well.
