Joshua Tree, CA – BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc) paid tribute to many of Christian Music’s most talented songwriters with its annual Christian Awards celebration Monday, July 27, 2020. The honorees were announced on BMI.com and across the organization’s digital platforms. When the announcements were made, Sunset Gallery Music songwriters, Scott Inman (pictured in attached jpg #1) and Jeff Bumgardner (pictured in attached jpg #2) were among those BMI announced as winners of the Twenty-Five Most Performed Christian Songs of the Year for 2019. Bumgardner achieved the honor for his composition of “Even Me,” while Inman was awarded for his composition of “Sun’s Gonna Come Up.” “It is truly an honor to have both Scotty and Jeff as members of the Sunset Gallery Music family, and we are so excited that BMI has honored their writing,” states Sunset Gallery Music President, Joel Lindsey. “Both these guys have so much talent and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with them.”
In honor of BMI Christian songwriters’ achievements, BMI created a page on its website where fans can watch special video messages and performances, as well as listen to award-winning music. As a result of the Covid Pandemic, BMI Nashville’s Executive Director, Leslie Roberts indicated it was challenging this year paying tribute to its writers at its annual Christian Awards celebration. “I look forward to the BMI Christian Awards every year, and 2020 is no exception,” Roberts stated. “This year has been a difficult one for so many reasons.
